Creating a Network Access IP Range

Required User Credentials

Overview

The Network Access setting provides granular control over access to Flosum Cloud Apps by allowing you to define trusted IP address ranges. When configured, this security feature restricts all access to your Flosum Organization, permitting connections only from the specified IP ranges. This ensures that only authorized networks can access your Flosum environment.

Key Considerations:

  • Ensure all users who require access are covered by the configured IP ranges.

  • Verify that the ranges accommodate all office locations and approved remote work environments.

  • Review and update IP ranges regularly as your organization's network infrastructure evolves.

Best Practice

Before enabling Network Access restrictions, document all IP ranges and test access from various locations to prevent accidentally locking out legitimate users. Consider creating an administrator range with a reliable static IP address in case of network changes or configuration issues.
