New Features

Archiving Salesforce Files

You can now archive Salesforce Files, including:

  • ContentDocument

  • ContentVersion

  • ContentDocumentLink

This enables you to archive files associated with records like Cases, improving long-term data management and reducing clutter.

How to Use:

  1. Open an Archive Template

  2. Select a parent object (e.g., Case)

  3. Choose Content Document as a child

  4. Optionally apply filter criteria to the parent object

All linked ContentDocument files will be archived.

ContentDocument can only be selected as a child of a parent object.

Restoring Archived Files

To restore previously archived files:

  • Select ContentVersion and ContentDocumentLink as parent objects

  • Proceed with the restore


Manage Operations – Scheduler Control

Gain greater flexibility in job scheduling with new options to enable or disable backup and archive schedulers via the Settings page.

Key Behavior:

  • Backup Scheduler Disabled: System-scheduled backups stop; only manual runs are allowed

  • Archive Scheduler Disabled: Archive scheduling from templates is turned off; manual runs are still possible

By default, both schedulers remain enabled.

Introducing: Time Machine

View, compare, and restore backed-up and archived data—all from within Salesforce!

Key Benefits:

  • Search archived data in your Salesforce org via the Flosum B&A Lightning App

  • View record history and compare up to 4 previous versions

  • Restore field values from older versions selectively

Steps to Use Time Machine:

  • Log in to Salesforce and open Flosum Backup & Archive from the App Launcher

  • In Settings, configure Time Machine preferences

  • Go to Searches > New Request

  • Select target objects and define filter criteria

  • Submit the request; once complete, review results:

    • Details Tab: Latest version field values (read-only)

    • Time Machine Tab: Compare up to 4 versions

    • Related Tab: View records related to the selected object

Azure Storage Support

You can now select Azure as a storage provider in addition to AWS S3.

How to Use:

  • Navigate to Setup & Audits in the Flosum B&A app

  • Under General, choose Azure as the storage type

Supported for both Flosum-hosted and self-hosted deployments.

Enhancements

Streamlined Org Switching

Quickly switch between Salesforce orgs using the new top-navigator org selector. No need to return to the homepage—search and switch instantly.

Optimized Restore Operations

Restore jobs now run faster and more accurately, with better detection of corrupted records.


Upon first org selection after this release, a "Loading encryption settings…" message may appear for up to 40 seconds.
