How to Start a Free Backup & Archive Trial
Overview
OverviewFlosum provides a free, fully functional 14-day trial of Backup & Archive, allowing you to evaluate its suitability for your organization's needs. To start the trial, register a Flosum Cloud App tenant, activate the Backup & Archive trial, and connect your Salesforce orgs. This guide walks you through all the necessary steps to begin your trial.
You can activate a 14-day free trial of Backup & Archive to test the product's features and determine whether it suits your organization. You can upgrade to a paid license at any time by contacting your Flosum Success Manager or submitting a case using the following link.
Select Region
Open your browser and go to: https://www.flosum.com/products/backup-and-archive and click Start Your Free Trial.
Identify the appropriate region for storing your Flosum Cloud Apps data, based on your data residency and compliance requirements.
Click Select Region for your chosen region.
Register New Tenant
The user registering a tenant will become the tenant’s System Administrator.
Click the Register now link.
Enter the following details to create your tenant:
First name: Your first name.
Last name: Your last name.
Email: Your email address to use for logging in and receiving verification emails. Must be a business email address.
Password: Use a strong password with a minimum of 8 characters, including at least 1 letter, 1 number, and 1 special character.
Click Sign Up.
Verify Email
A verification email is sent to the email address provided on the registration screen.
Access your email account and open Flosum: Please verify your email.
The email is sent from [email protected]. Check your spam folder if you have not received the email.
Click the Verify Your Email link.
Complete Registration
Enter the email you signed up with in the Email textbox.
Click Continue.
Access your email account and open Flosum: Login Verification Code.
The email is sent from [email protected]. Check your spam folder if you have not received the email.
Copy the verification code.
Enter the copied verification code in the Verification Code textbox.
Click Continue.
Select the tenant name that was automatically generated during registration.
If you have multiple tenants, find the tenant name in Flosum: please verify the email you received during registration. The tenant name can be updated in the Global Settings app after completing registration.
Click Continue.
In the Password textbox, enter the password you created.
Click Login.
You will be logged in to Global Settings.
Connect Org
To start using Backup & Archive with your Salesforce orgs, you must connect your orgs to Backup & Archive by completing the instructions in the following articles.
(Optional) Assign Users
When you register a new tenant, a user account with System Administrator permissions is created for you. To add additional users to your Flosum Cloud App tenant, refer to the following articles for instructions.
